The Scripp Ranch Recreation Council will be sponsoring a FREE Spring Egg Hunt on Thursday April 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Scripps Ranch Recreation Center at 11454 Blue Cypress Drive San Diego CA 92131.

Children of all ages are invited.  The age divisions and egg hunt times are as follows:

• 1:00 PM 2 years and under
• 1:30 PM 3-4 years
• 2:00 PM 5-6 years
• 2:30 PM 7-9 years
• 3:00 PM 10-12 years
• 3:30 PM -all ages!

Scripps Ranch Theater presents the Pulitzer Prize winning play Crimes Of The Heart from March 19 through April 16.  Audiences will be transported back to 1974 Mississippi to spend an evening in the touching poignant story of life and love. The Pleasure of Your Company Concert Series presents a concert of music for four hands featuring Ronald Morebello and Vera Rathje perfornming works or Beethovenm Barber, Piazzolla and Liszt on Sunday March 20 at 2:30 PM at the Library.

The Monthly Childrens Library Program will feature Frazzle, Dazzle and Co in an interactive clown and magic show on Thursday March 17 at 3:00 PM..

The Book Discussion Group will meet On March 23 at 6:30 PM.  They are currently reading The Gangster We Are All Looking For by Le Thi Diem

Sustainable Scripps Ranch will present a wonderful program about protecting the natural resources and cultural history of MCAS Miramar. Did you know that there is a rare National Natural Landmark called "The Miramar Mounds" in our neighborhood? Dr Charles Black will describe  MCAS Miramar preservation activities and Randy Monohan will discuss MCAS Miramar's energy security. Taste of the Ranch ( the very popular annual fundraiser of the Scripps Ranch High School foundation) will be held Saturday February 26 from 6:00 to 9:30 PM at 9715 Business Park Avenue.  Proceeds benefit programs at Scripps Ranch High School. The cost is $60.00 per person and  may purchase tickets online at http:www.tasteoftheranch.org.

The Scripps Ranch Theater continues another outstanding season with Painting Churches by Tina Howe.  The show runs on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday matinees from  January 15 to  February 12, 2011.  Preview Night is Friday, January 14, 2011.

This is a beautifully written play about love, life and long term marriage.  "A theatrical family portrait that has the shimmer and depth of Renoir portraits." says the N.Y. Times.

The Pleasure of your Company Music Series presents Tommy Gannon Jazzz Pianist Sunday January 16 (2:30-4:00 PM) The concert will take place at the Scripps Ranch Library Community Room.  Meet the artist after the program at a complementary reception.  A donation of $5 per person is requested but not required.

The Library Children's program presents Music and American History, thursday January 20 (3:00-4:00)

The Scripps Ranch Women's Club will host a Brunch and Live Auction on March 15th at La Bastide Restaurant. This is their annual fundraiser and benefits Scripps Ranch Schools and Community organizations. Another fun thing to do in Scripps Ranch on Sunday December 12th.  After finishing the race and scarfing down some cake, head over to the library where The Scripps Ranch Acapella Singers will present a special holiday program from 2:30 to 4:30 PM.  Attired in period costume, the singers will present a range of seasonal secular and sacred music.  this show willl be followed by a complimentary reception before moving to the park and the holiday tree lighting There is no charge for the concert, although donations are appreciated. Just another reason why living in a Scripps Ranch home is such a good decision
